Dr. Wendy Cukier

Dr. Wendy Cukier

Founder and Academic Director, Diversity Institute 

Dr. Wendy Cukier is the founder and academic director of the Diversity Institute, which has 130 full-time staff and more than 200 partners. Based at the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University, she is also a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation with a PhD in information systems. She leads the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub and is the Academic Research Director for the Future Skills Centre.

Ryan Erb

Executive Director, United Way Perth-Huron

Ryan Erb is the Executive Director of United Way Perth-Huron with more than 25 years of nonprofit management, community development, fundraising and marketing experience. Ryan holds an M.A. in Leadership, a B.A. in Social Development/Peace and Conflict, a B.R.E. in Counselling and is a Certified Board Governance Trainer.

Zahra Esmail

CEO, Vantage Point

Zahra is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vantage Point, a non-profit organization that focuses on strengthening the capacity of non-profits across BC. Zahra has worked in the non-profit sector for over 15 years with experience in international development, housing and homelessness, community development, youth entrepreneurship, fundraising, and microfinance.  

Pamela Uppal-Sandhu

Pamela (she/her) cares deeply about community, allyship, and equity. Over the past 10 years, she has focused on bridging frontline work, research initiatives, and policy advocacy to help build equitable systems. She led a nonprofit organization as a student volunteer, started her career in the nonprofit sector as an intake worker at a multi-service agency, has designed diversity trainings, and collaborated on multiple gender equity research projects. Currently, she is the Director of Policy at the Ontario Nonprofit Network. She holds a Masters degree in Women Studies & Feminist Research.
