Description
We are seeking a dedicated volunteer Prospect Researcher to join our team and support our fundraising efforts. As a volunteer Prospect Researcher, you will play a crucial role in identifying potential donors, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources that align with our organization's mission and priorities. You will conduct thorough research and analysis to provide strategic insights and recommendations to our fundraising team, enabling us to effectively cultivate and solicit support from prospective sponsors and donors.
Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive research to identify and evaluate potential individual, foundation, corporate, and government funding prospects.

Utilise various databases, online resources, and other tools to gather information on prospects' philanthropic interests, giving history, financial capacity, and connections.

Analyze and synthesize data to assess the potential for engagement and develop prospect profiles and briefings for fundraising purposes.

Collaborate closely with the fundraising team to prioritize prospects and develop tailored cultivation and solicitation strategies.

Stay informed about philanthropic trends, funding opportunities, and changes in the landscape that may impact fundraising efforts.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect research activities in our donor database.
Qualifications:

Interest and/or experience in prospect research, fundraising, market research, or a related field, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, evaluate, and interpret information from multiple sources.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Being bilingual is a plus.
