Stevens-Johnson Syndrome Canada is a registered non-profit organization that aims to promote health by providing people suffering from SJS/TEN as well as their families and caregivers with access to related counseling, support groups and information programs.
The President, a survivor of SJS/TEN – the disease that burns the body from the inside out – founded this organization over 10 years ago. SJSC was created with the intention of bringing awareness to the general and medical communities by providing workshops, support groups, seminars, and information about this illness and its effects.
Possible Duties

Document preparation such as letters, memorandum, and presentations

Organize online correspondence including edit and review in timely manner

Arrange possible networking opportunities

Assist with seeking funding/sponsors and proposal writing

Spread awareness and assist in advertising
-
Support on related committees (eg. fundraising, outreach, web/tech, etc.)

Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Proven organizational skills, task management, ability to meet deadlines

Knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, etc.

Able to work independently with little supervision
