Job Title: Data Entry Specialist
Job Location: Remote
Compensation: No remuneration; Opportunity for co-op, capstones, volunteer, project placement, etc.
Number of Hours per Week: 5-20 (to be determined)

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate data records and information within the museum's databases, systems, or digital archives.

  • Perform data entry tasks including inputting text, numerical data, and other information into designated databases or digital platforms.

  • Verify data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting any discrepancies or errors in entries.

  • Organize and catalog digital records, ensuring proper categorization, labeling, and storage for easy retrieval and reference.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data consistency, integrity, and compliance with established data entry standards.

  • Assist in data cleanup, formatting, and standardization of records to maintain database quality.

  • Adhere to data entry guidelines, confidentiality, and security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.

  • Administrative tasks pertaining to job duties and related responsibilities.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient typing skills and accuracy in entering data quickly and efficiently.

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when entering and verifying data.

Qualifications:

  • Language Required: English, fluency in French and/or Spanish is an asset but not required.

  • Level of Education: Post-Secondary is the minimum. Open to students.

  • Capability to perform the above tasks and responsibilities independently with minimal supervision.
