Here we grow again! With the success of the Sunshine Therapy Dogs program in Toronto and Durham, we are on the lookout for a Program Director in Kitchener-Waterloo.
We’re looking for energetic, organized individuals who want to make a difference for those suffering from emotional and mental distress by arranging visits with a volunteer handler and their dog.
You would be responsible for recruiting volunteers in your region, maintaining a database of those volunteers, scheduling assessments for dogs and their handlers and arranging visits with community agencies, schools, workplace and individuals.
This is a part-time position that can be managed on your schedule, from your location. Time commitment is approximately 10 hours/week. While we are not able to offer compensation at this time, we expect to have funding to provide a modest honorarium in the near future.
No dog required (but if you have one and would like to volunteer to provide visits, that would be awesome, too!)
