In this remote position, you'll dedicate a minimum of 2-4 hours per week for at least 3 months to support our burn survivor community across Canada. Founded by burn survivor Victoria Vass, our organization provides a safe and educational space for survivors and their loved ones. About Life After Burns

We are Life After Burns, a burn survivor community that offers a safe and educational space for burn survivors and their loved ones across Canada. 

Life After Burns was founded by Victoria Vass, who suffered 3rd degree burns at the age of 9 years old. While discovering and going through the interpersonal growth that such a rough experience brings, she has made it her mission to educate and build a community with the hopes of helping others on their own journey. 

We are looking for volunteers who are self-starters, collaborative, passionate and committed. If you are someone who would love to meaningfully contribute to increase the awareness of burns and celebrate the burn community, this is the opportunity for you!

Position Summary

The Marketing Volunteer contributes to creating continuous buzz around Life After Burns’s mission. You will serve as the dedicated advocate for our cause, playing an integral role in our marketing team. If you're a self-starter seeking hands-on marketing experience within the non-profit space, this role is tailor-made for you.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing creative marketing strategies to amplify our mission.

  • Create engaging and impactful marketing content that resonates with our audience.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support the planning and execution of awareness campaigns.

  • Manage, grow, and strengthen online communities through the creation and evaluation of marketing content.

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience and passion for marketing, particularly in online platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines with professionalism.

  • Ability to perform at a high level independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite, Canva, or other marketing tools is an asset.

  • Experience in marketing for a business, club, or non-profit organization is an asset.

  • Education in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or equivalent fields of study is an asset.
  • A Vulnerable Sector check that has been done within the last 6 months is required.
