Saturday, November 18, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. B.D. Colen is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who spent 23 years at The Washington Post and Newsday. Mr. Colen began his career in journalism the week after his 17th birthday, covering the historic March on Washington as a reporter/photographer for a weekly newspaper in Connecticut. He has written about ten books on medically related subjects – his specialty as a reporter. As a photographer, he has worked for various editorial, corporate, and private clients, from The Washington Post and Boston Globe to the New England Journal of Medicine and Harvard University. B.D. Colen is a former lecturer of Documentary Photography and Feature Writing at MIT and Harvard Extension School. He will present his unique style of Street Photography, including samples, tips and techniques. Q & A to follow.
