Capacity Building Project for Racialized Organizations
October 4, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT
FreeJoin us on Wednesday, October 4th at 3:00 pm for a virtual information session about CCS’s ongoing capacity-building initiative for small organizations supporting marginalized communities.
Sign-up through our Eventbrite link here.
The ‘Capacity Building Project for Racialized Organizations’ will equip small, racialized and indigenous organizations with the knowledge and tools to apply for and successfully manage government funding. It will include needs assessment; development and implementation of training sessions on organizational governance, financial stewardship, proposal development, project management, reporting and evaluation; and development of a resource toolkit. Participants’ learning will be supported through a mentoring program, an organizational readiness assessment, next steps action plan development and alumni network.
We recognize that marginalized communities and their representatives have been historically excluded from funding opportunities. Our goal is to provide organizations with the resources and information to more effectively apply for and manage funding that supports their growth. This is an opportunity for organizations to have access to training sessions, resource-sharing and a strong network of connections in the sector.
