Strategic Planning is a critical function of the board and one of the most crucial documents for an organization. This course is designed to take you through the essential factors and stages to ensure you and your organization can develop a strategic plan that will create a framework for making decisions and staying on purpose.
This course is on-demand, meaning that you can take it anytime, at your own pace. The course will take approximately 1.5 hours to complete from start to finish. You have one year (365 days) to complete the course from the date of purchase before it will automatically expire in your account. However, once you open a course for the very first time, you will have unlimited access to complete the course within 3 months. You can choose to take the course in one sitting or in smaller bites. Either way, the course is entirely flexible and up to you how fast you complete it within the 3-month time frame!

This training may be used to meet the requirements for renewing the Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA) credential. One Professional Development Unit (PDU) is awarded for each 50-60 minute session or contact hour in topics related to volunteer resources management. Juanita Gledhill is a skilled facilitator and accomplished public speaker, Juanita has delivered workshops and education sessions for staff, management and boards of directors on a wide range of subjects related to Strategic Planning, Human Resources Policies, Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership Skills, and Governance Practices. Juanita holds an Honours B.A. in English and Political Science from McMaster University, Certification in Human Resources Management from Mohawk College and received her CHRP designation in January 2004 and her CHRL designation in 2014. Juanita is the recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal (2002) for community service. In February 2004, Juanita was awarded the Ross A. Hennigar Memorial Award by the Human Resources Professional Association, in recognition of her academic, career and community service achievements in the field of Human Resources. In 2007, Juanita was a nominee for the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce HR Hero Award. In November 2013, the Canadian Society of Training and Development (CSTD) awarded a Silver Medal in the Category of Blended Learning projects to MCC Group Inc. and the Ontario Real Estate Associate (OREA) for their web based three part tutorial Nimble Decision Making for association boards of directors.
