Position: Project Manager, Chosen Events & Experience

Reports to: Senior Manager, Events & Experiences

This role supports one of World Vision Canada’s key child sponsorship initiatives, Chosen, bringing sponsorship events and experiences to Canadian church audiences. Learn more about Chosen at worldvision.ca/chosen.

This role requires flexibility to work evenings/weekends based on event needs, and may require some travel.

Job Purpose:

The Project Manager, Chosen Events & Experiences acts as project manager for all Chosen event and experiential activities. This role is responsible for the successful project management, end-to-end execution and delivery of all events, experiential and program activities, ensuring that the vision and goals for each are met and exceeded.

The Project Manager, Chosen Events & Experiences supports the development, monitoring, and execution of effective budgets, project plans, project schedules, marketing and promotion strategies, production plans, shipping and logistics plans and post-activity analysis and reporting as well as the completion of key operational reports to support the achievement of all Chosen event, experiential and program objectives, goals, and KPIs.

The Project Manager, Chosen Events & Experiences works collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders across WVC, as well as third-party partners and vendors, building relationships that support the successful execution and delivery of WVC Chosen events, experiential and program activities to achieve shared objectives.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders and external partners to execute Chosen events and experiential activities according to program strategies and objectives.
  • Leads the delivery of Chosen events & experiences, ensuring best-in-class execution and brand excellence in experience while maximizing the achievement of Chosen program and stakeholder KPI’s and objectives.
  • Provides highly proficient project management for all Chosen events & experiences, developing and executing project plans and schedules, and ensuring end-to-end execution and delivery through event and project management processes.
  • Leads onsite execution and delivery of top Level Chosen events and experiences, ensuring end-to-end delivery and execution according to event and industry standards.
  • Ensures that project schedules are being met and that all logistics, staffing, production, and project plan delivery are executed with excellence.
  • Develops and delivers needed marketing and event assets and collateral, ensuring brand and production guidelines are met and executed.
  • Oversees event and experiential production requirements related to Chosen event design, creative development, event content and brand compliance for event deliverables with internal and external partners.
  • Leads the execution of all operations for Chosen events & experiences, such as establishing and tracking budgets, invoices & payments, creating and monitoring contracts, SoW’s & POs, and developing and completing post-event reporting and data-entry into CRM.
  • Ensures cohesive collaboration with vendors and partners while providing a consistent experience with World Vision Canada messaging, products, and brand-guided relationship management while ensuring excellence in delivery and adherence to World Vision Canada and program strategy and policies.
  • Acts as a strategic Subject Matter Expert for World Vision Canada’s Brand, ensuring all elements of Chosen events, experiential and program activities align to and represent brand guidelines and are delivered according to brand excellence standards and KPI’s.
  • Researches and implements industry trends and best practices for Chosen events & experiential activities and recommends opportunities for growth and expansion of market presence.
  • Supports the development of team and program business processes, working with the Senior Manager, Events & Experiences and Product Owner, Chosen to create and implement tools and resources to support maximum efficiency and effectiveness in the execution Chosen event, experiential and program activities.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing or Events Management desired.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in event planning, event production, event fundraising, and/or project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management with a proven track record of collaboration, negotiation and reciprocity.
  • Highly skilled at networking and enhancing corporate relations.
  • Demonstrated experience in event marketing & communications.
  • Experience in relationship management with a proven track record of collaboration, negotiation, and reciprocity.
  • Demonstrated ability in project management.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, financial, administrative, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Customer-service orientation with demonstrated experience communicating with high-profile stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated organizational, financial, problem solving, collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and with Agile principles and practices.
  • Possession of a valid G driver’s license and access to a car for travel to events.

Working Conditions:

  • In this role the Project Manager, Chosen Events & Experiences is required, on an occasional basis, special working conditions that cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, shift work, working outdoors, working with challenging clients, and travel is required.

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move assets weighing up to 25 pounds.
