About the presenters
Ashley Gatewood, Communications and Marketing Director at CFRE International
Ashley Gatewood is passionate about the nonprofit sector and membership associations, having spent the bulk of her career in these areas. She loves talking about the CFRE credential and how it can help elevate fundraising professionals’ careers. Ashley has been with CFRE International since 2018. She believes nonprofits and the people within them play an integral role in shaping our world for the better. Previously, she was the events and marketing manager at the Fundraising Institute of New Zealand where she helped bring world-class fundraising programing to the country.
Ashley holds a bachelor’s from Towson University in Maryland and a master’s from the University of Texas at Austin.
Judy Zhu, Executive Director at Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation
As an inspiring leader, Judy is passionate about empowering donors and community partners to support causes that are meaningful to them through philanthropy and advocacy. She has more than 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector, focusing on fundraising, public relations and non-profit management.
Judy is currently Executive Director at the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation. Prior to joining the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation, Judy was the Director of Leadership Giving and Asian Giving at the Canadian Cancer Society, one of Canada’s largest health charities. She’s also worked for the Simon Fraser University Department of University Advancement.
Judy is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. She serves on the AFP Greater Vancouver Chapter board as the Vice-President of Partnership Initiatives & Sponsorship and is a CFRE Ambassador in British Columbia.
