ACT Volunteer Information Session – Wednesday November 16th (6 – 7:30 PM)

ACT is looking for dynamic and compassionate volunteers to join the ACT Team! We are a charity committed to the reduction of new HIV infections in Toronto, while promoting the independence, dignity, health, and well-being of people living with HIV and AIDS and those at increased risk of HIV in our community.
Our volunteer opportunities include:
Program & Services
Support Group Facilitator
A leadership role within a peer support group ensures a supportive and constructive atmosphere is maintained by the group participant.
Positive Youth Outreach (PYO)
Positive Youth Outreach (PYO) is a peer-led program of ACT that seeks to empower, support, and affirm the lives of young people living with HIV under 30.
Service Access Centre (Front Desk Client Services)
Provide assessment, information provision and referral services to callers and individuals in the Access Centre.
Women’s Support Program – Coffee Night Assistant
Held twice a month, this informal social support event for HIV-positive women provides an opportunity to connect with other women with HIV and learn from each other’s experiences.
Special Event and Event Day Opportunities – Flexible Opportunities (Shift Based)
To learn more about ACT and all the volunteer opportunities available please, join us at our next Volunteer Information Session on Wednesday Nov 16th from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. We are located at 543 Yonge Street 4th floor. (Yonge & Wellesley). Food and refreshments are provided.
